Installing Base MCJ on VMware Fusion - 1   Print

This article series will show how to install the base MCJ file system on a VMware Fusion VM. Let's get started. First, create a new virtual machine:

The Base MCJ is 2000-2008 mix of parts, just like the old Johnny Cash song, but it is a classic truck from a GNU/Linux perspective. Use a 2.6 kernel:

We picked 4GB fixed. That should last for years of tinkering:

Make that 20 gigs if you plan to recompile. Don't start the VM yet:
